Clamp the carbide drill bit in the three-jaw chuck of the 12 V drill, place the drill on the windscreen at an angle and make a small milled groove in the window surface 1 to 1.5 mm before the end of the crack. Hold the drill with both hands to prevent involuntary additional damage. Then continue vertically with the drill downward until the ball head disappears completely in the drill hole. Do not drill into the film, but instead use the drill hole punch to create a small eye on the end of the crack, near the film.
